About the Club
South Wales Automobile Club ( SWAC) was established in 1903 and has been involved in the promotion of many types of motor sport since then, the major event being the organisation of the International Welsh Rally.
Rallies
As the organisers of the International Welsh Rally and, more recently, tarmac rallies at RAF Caerwent, we have a wealth of rallying experience for new and experienced competitors to draw on. This knowledge is freely passed on, you just need to ask.
Marshalling
The mainstay of any type of motor sport is the commitment of marshals, The South Wales Automobile Club supports many events all year round, with it's experienced team of marshals. New team members are always welcome.
Friendly Advice
There are many experienced organisers and competitors in the club who are more than willing to give their advice and help on motor sport issues or vehicle maintenance.
Social Events
Non-motor sport activities are also organized. As a club we are keen to involve the whole family. Quiz Nights Enjoy a friendly brain-teasing quiz on motor sport or general knowledge.
Membership
Come along to the Wyndham Club Porth, any Wednesday after 8.30pm, and introduce yourself we will be in the rear downstair room by the skittle alley. You could become a member for just £7.00 a year for single membership or £10 a year for family membership. You don't have to join straight away - see if you like us first!!
